Petko Sharankov
20 years of professional experience in Cyprus, Greece, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Between 2012 and 2013, he was part of the team that earned a Michelin star at Barrafina (Soho, London), and in 2014 he joined Marcus Wareing's brigade at his newly refurbished restaurant "Marcus" (The Berkeley Hotel, Knightsbridge, London), maintaining 2 Michelin stars for the following year and a half.
By an interesting turn of events, Petko moved from the highest echelons of culinary arts to street food, joining the burger restaurant "Honest Burgers" (London), then still an unknown brand. For four years, he helped their development, first as their head chef, then as a regional chef for London, and later overseeing the opening of new restaurants across the UK.
Next, he moved to "BrewDog," where he spent two years as part of the operations team responsible for the food in 120 bars. Soon after, Petko decided to return to Bulgaria to manage the restaurant at "Kosovskie Houses." Respecting traditional cuisine, he believes that through local, seasonally changing products, a more modern interpretation of our beloved Rhodope recipes would be a wonderful innovation. The hospitality of the Rhodope people, combined with the breathtaking views, inspired him to create the new menu at "Kosovskie Houses," where you can find a different concept of food and patriotism.
