New Candys — Full Concert | Station Street Festival

New Candys live at Station Street Festival — Venice's psych-rock icons present their landmark fifth album The Uncanny Extravaganza in Bulgaria. New Candys are an alternative rock band formed in Venice, Italy in 2008 by core members Fernando Nuti (vocals, guitar, synth) and Dario Lucchesi (bass, synth), joined by Emanuele Zanardo (guitar, backing vocals) and Francesco Giacomin (drums, sampler). Over the course of 646 shows across 29 countries — including tours with The Black Angels and sold-out nights in London and Paris — they have built one of the most devoted followings in the international psych-rock underground.

In 2025, New Candys made a powerful return with the release of their highly anticipated fifth album The Uncanny Extravaganza via Fuzz Club — a bold evolution blending their signature rock roots with electronic influences and cutting-edge production, resulting in a genre-defying sonic experience. New Candys The album was produced by Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher) and ranked fifth among the ten best albums of 2025 by Rolling Stone.

Veering between aggressive, gritty sounds, synth-driven rhythms, and dreamy, melancholic minimalism Fuzz Club, The Uncanny Extravaganza is lyrically built around surreal water imagery inspired by Venice — a metaphor for a reality that is distorted, dreamlike, and often inaccessible — and carries a strong sense of rebellion shaped by the aftermath of the pandemic.

Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU. Station Street Festival, implemented under procedure BG-RRP-11.016 "Presentation of contemporary European productions from the CCI sector to Bulgarian audiences".
