Yanichka Nushi
19-year-old Bulgarian singer-songwriter; solo artist, vocalist of Tlen, member of the Samodiva collective.
At just 19, Bulgarian singer-songwriter Yanichka Nushi (Yana Kostadinova) has already written dozens of songs and made her debut with the intimate and determined single “43” — a piece that transforms personal trauma into art. Her music blends vulnerability with strength, carried by melodic vocals and deeply personal lyrics, always performed in Bulgarian. With the support of producer Georgi Linev (Kan Wakan), Yanichka is also part of Samodiva, a new artist-led collective aiming to strengthen Bulgaria’s independent scene. In addition to her solo career, she is the vocalist and lyricist for the post-punk band Tlen, where her voice merges with darker textures to create immersive soundscapes. Whether performing alone or with a band, Yanichka treats the stage as both a test and a safe space, turning her stories into shared emotional experiences. Her work is a delicate balance of fragility and resilience, making her one of the most promising young voices in Bulgaria’s alternative music movement.
