Roots Rocket

Roots Rocket are pioneers of Bulgaria’s reggae scene, formed in 2011 as the musical branch of the Root Souljah movement. Their sound is steeped in roots reggae traditions, enriched by a powerful brass section that elevates their music into vibrant live experiences. With organic grooves and conscious messages, they connect audiences across borders, staying true to reggae’s universal mission of positivity and resistance. Over the years, they have taken their sound across Europe — from Slovenia and Romania to Serbia, Turkey, and Switzerland — and onto the main stages of iconic festivals like Rototom Sunsplash and Uprising Reggae Festival, where they’ve shared bills with reggae legends such as Israel Vibration, Ky-Mani Marley, and Capleton. Currently working on their debut full-length album, Roots Rocket remain dedicated to spreading the positive vibrations of reggae from Sofia to the world, solidifying their place as both trailblazers at home and ambassadors of Bulgarian reggae abroad.
