Preserving Bulgaria's Architectural Heritage
The Foundation Bulgarian Modernist Architecture is a non-profit organization dedicated to researching and promoting the architectural and artistic history of Bulgaria from the Interwar period (1920s-1940s). Founded by art historians Vasil Makarinov and Theodor Karakolev, the foundation has been actively working since 2014 to bring awareness and appreciation of Bulgarian modernist architecture to a broader audience. Through exhibitions, architectural tours, lectures, and extensive research, the foundation highlights the significance of this era in Bulgaria's cultural and architectural development.
