POSTCARD initially got together to play music while studying at the "Prince Claus" Conservatory in Groningen, Netherlands. In 2022, they formed a group consisting of Ralitsa Toneva - saxophone, Teodor Toshkov - drums, and Nedelcho Ninnov - trombone. In Bulgaria, they are joined by Velizar Gichev - guitar. They often perform in local jazz clubs and occasionally return to Bulgaria to play for local audiences.
This year, Postcard recorded their debut album "Stories" with the support of the National Culture Fund. The album "Stories" is a collection of 7 musical tales characterized by deep sincerity and sensitivity to the personal experiences of the creators, highlighting what makes a person vulnerable, unique, and distinct. It takes courage for a young artist to assert themselves boldly and directly, especially at the beginning of their journey, when the dynamics of the new and unknown bring many surprises and challenges. The idea of "Stories" is to convey faith in the journey, courage, revelation, and the connection between what has been and what is to come. This summer, they will present it on various stages not only in Bulgaria but also in Romania and Serbia.
